Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to remember preferences, measure traffic or enable specific features. This page explains what cookies Electrician London uses, the categories they fall into, and how you can control them.
1. Strictly necessary
We currently do not set any strictly-necessary first-party cookies. Our forms work without persistent cookies — they use one-shot tokens and short-lived in-memory state. If we add session-based booking flows in future, the cookies required for them will appear in this section.
2. Analytics
When analytics are enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate site traffic — pages viewed, referring source, approximate location at city level, and device type. Google Analytics is only loaded after you accept analytics through our consent banner (rollout pending — see section 5 below). IP addresses are anonymised. We do not use analytics for advertising, remarketing or audience building.
3. Embedded content
Pages with maps embed Leaflet tiles served by OpenStreetMap. OpenStreetMap may set its own cookies and log your IP for abuse prevention; see the OpenStreetMap privacy policy. We do not embed third-party video, social-media widgets, ad networks or tracking pixels.
4. Cookie summary
| Cookie / technology | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate traffic measurement (consent-gated) | Up to 2 years |
| OSM tile cache | OpenStreetMap | Map tile delivery on pages with embedded maps | Session |
5. Consent management
A cookie consent banner is in development and will be rolled out before any non-essential cookies are loaded. Until then, no analytics or third-party tracking cookies are set on this site.
6. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can clear, block or restrict cookies in any modern browser. The following links jump straight to the vendor's instructions:
- Chrome — manage cookies in Chrome
- Firefox — manage cookies in Firefox
- Safari — manage cookies in Safari
- Edge — manage cookies in Edge
7. Do Not Track
We honour the Do Not Track (DNT) header. When DNT is enabled in your browser, analytics scripts are not loaded regardless of your consent banner choice.
